London Lions are delighted to announce the re-signing of MVP candidate Justin Robinson.  This signing comes at a key stage of the current season as the team prepares for the first leg of the Quarter Final Playoff which takes place at the Copper Box on Sunday 6th May 4pm.

Robinson is originally an alumni of London club, Brixton Topcats learning the game under legendary coach Jimmy Rogers. Next stop was Blair Academy after which he clocked a stellar American college career at Rider University where he averaged 15.3 points and 3.8 assists per game in his senior year as captain.  After an impressive six year basketball career across Europe, which included playing for GB at Eurobasket 2013, London Lions Head Coach Vince Macaulay persuaded the point guard Londoner to return home and play for his team – the capital’s only premiership club.

Robinson says “It feels great to be re-signing with the London Lions. My first season as a Lion has been fantastic and I’m excited to be part of the club’s future. It’s the right place for me to be”.

Head Coach Vince Macaulay said “This is a massive achievement for us.  Justin is arguably the best point guard in the BBL and he is a significant part of our vision to be the best club in the League.  He is a solid team player and equally important, a huge role model to developing players which is fundamental to the future basketball”.
