Manchester Giants v London Lions
Where: Powerleague Trafford Sportsdome, Trafford Way, Manchester, M17 8DD
When: Sunday 4 November, 5pm tip-off (doors open at 4pm)

The London Lions travel up North to face the Manchester Giants for the first time this season. The Giants were in action last weekend defeating the Surrey Scorchers in the BBL Cup. Coupled with that the home side are sitting 2 and 2 in the League as well.

The Lions have won 9 straight games against the Giants but Coach Macaulay is not taking anything for granted. “We don’t operate like that, Coach Byrne has been able to put his own team together with his own choices of players to play in the way that he wants and the results show he is well on track.

We have prepared well and hard, it’s always a challenge at the venue and now they have a team that will take scalps if you are not careful, in Clayton and McCall they have explosive weapons but they also now have good experience around the squad and I think the return of James Jones is huge for the club.”

Injuries have healed for us and I think we can go flat out on the floor and put the hard work to effect for a good performance, at this stage of the season there are always things to improve and I’m happy with how we are progressing.”

Danny Byrne: “The win at Surrey was a brilliant team effort and we showed what we can do with effort and commitment right through the game. Now we want to show some of that form we have had in three wins on the road in front of our home fans.”
