Radisson RED Glasgow Rocks 70-86 London Lions (14-22, 34-42, 48-63)
London Lions returned to league action with a convincing road victory away at Radisson RED Glasgow Rocks.
This was the second defeat of the weekend for the Rocks, whilst the Lions move to second place in the League with a 4-1 record.
The Lions made a strong start to hold the home side to just 14 points in the opening quarter and continued to pull away to lead by as many as 19 in the contest as they held off any Rocks fightback.
Paul Guede and Justin Robinson hit jumpers against the Rocks zone defence whilst Ladarius Tabb fed off Jordan Spenser’s 9 assists on his way to 20 points.
Commanding the paint was important for the Lions as they held their hosts to under 40% from the floor.
Tabb led the way with 20 points and 11 rebounds for a fine double-double, while Robinson also added 20 points in the win to help the Lions maintain their strong start.
The Lions are next in action, at home, this Wednesday when they host the Cheshire Phoenix.
