Bristol, UK – Friday, 12 December 2025 — The London Lions delivered a composed performance anchored by their defence on the road, defeating the Bristol Flyers 71–62 and redeeming themselves in the building where they suffered their only SLB loss earlier this season.
London held Bristol to just 62 points, one of the Flyers’ lowest offensive outputs of the year, and controlled the game for long stretches with discipline, physicality, and timely shot-making.
The Lions were led by Ethan Price, who set the tone with 14 points and four rebounds, showcasing aggression and efficiency from the start. Kameron McGusty added 11 points and three rebounds. Deane Williams delivered 10 points and seven rebounds, providing controlled interior scoring and crucial second-chance effort that helped steady London throughout the night.
London were sparked early by Price, whose assertiveness in the first quarter set the tone on both ends. His pick-and-roll slip finish off a pass from Chasson Randle highlighted that early surge, quickly followed by a put-back layup from Deane Williams and a tough finish from Tarik Phillip to cap a 6–0 run built on four consecutive defensive stops.
That burst pushed London to a 21–13 lead after the first quarter, an advantage they protected for most of the night.
Bristol attempted to generate momentum in the second and third quarters, but London consistently met their pushes with poise.
Williams continued to work inside, McGusty attacked off the dribble, and Phillip provided structure and tempo.
The Flyers’ missed opportunities at the free-throw line, shooting just 12-of-23 (52.2%) and finishing well below their season average, stalled every attempted comeback while London’s defence remained sharp and connected.
The defining blow came late in the fourth.
McGusty delivered a composed hesi-cross jumper with 2:33 remaining, stretching the lead to 69–55 and halting a small surge of momentum from Bristol, which forced an immediate timeout. Out of the break, Chasson Randle dove on a loose ball to secure possession, shutting down any remaining chance for the Flyers to mount a late run.
London controlled the closing minutes with maturity and defensive discipline, sealing a complete road victory built on toughness, execution, and team balance.
The Lions now turn their focus to this Sunday at 4 PM, when they return home to face the Surrey 89ers in another important SLB matchup.
