A player who could soon become a fan favourite at the Copper Box Arena is guard Matt Morgan. In his first year of college, the American stacked up six Ivy League Rookie of the Week honours which set the pace for his successful four years at college. As a sophomore, Morgan led the Ivy League in scoring and went on to put up over 2300 points for Cornell. In 2019, he signed for the then NBA Champions, Toronto Raptors. He represented the franchise’s G-League team for two years before playing for Konyaspor and Le Mans in Europe. Most recently, the North Carolina-native was named in the 2023 All-French League Team alongside current NBA superstar, Victor Wembanyama.
