London, Friday 27 February — The London Lions NextGen team will compete in the adidas NextGen EuroLeague (ANGT) Abu Dhabi Qualifying Tournament from February 27 to March 1, facing elite youth teams from across Europe and the Middle East in one of the most prestigious development competitions in international basketball.

The Lions will participate in Group B of the qualifying tournament, hosted in Abu Dhabi, alongside Aris Thessaloniki, AS Monaco, Dubai Basketball, and NextGen Team Abu Dhabi. The wider tournament field also includes European powerhouses Real Madrid, Valencia Basket, and Žalgiris Kaunas.

The adidas NextGen EuroLeague serves as the premier youth basketball competition in Europe, providing elite prospects with the opportunity to compete against top international talent while representing their clubs on a global stage.

London Lions will open group play on Friday 27 February against NextGen Team Abu Dhabi at 11:45am (GMT). They will then face Žalgiris Kaunas on Saturday 28 February at 7:15am (GMT), before taking on Valencia Basket later that day at 2:00pm (GMT).

The tournament represents an important milestone for the club’s player development pathway, showcasing emerging talent within the Lions’ system and affiliated programmes.
