London Lions Put on Dominating Display Easter Sunday to Claim 88-36 Victory over Newcastle. “Kiki” Herbert Harrigan, Erupts for 22-Point Performance. Shanice Beckford-Norton Now Only 6 Points Way from Being Lions' All-Time Leading WBBL Scorer.

The London Lions put a wrench in the Eagle’s playoff hopes with an 88-36 win amid poor officiating, causing the home-town favourites several possessions and sending the Eagles to the free-throw line more times than 

Player of the Game, “Kiki” Herbert Harrigan, contributed 22 points, one offensive rebound, and two assists to London’s offensive domination and two defensive rebounds, three steals and one block to help smother the Eagles’ advances.  

In front of some of her British-based family members, the 2-way forward had an efficient afternoon from inside the arc, knocking down 75% of her attempts, including two mid-range jumpers, as well as 87% from the free-throw line.

Lead guard Holly Winterburn flirted with a triple-double, recording 13 points, grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out seven assists to help facilitate the Lions' points production. 

Taylor Murray led the game with eight assists to go with three rebounds and six points. The league’s leader in steals (3.8 per game) also aided in suppressing Newcastle’s offence actions to the tune of three steals. 

Katsiaryna Snytsina showed her 2-way prowess by blocking three shots, claiming one on-ball steal and grabbing five defensive rebounds (six rebounds in total). The legend complimented this display with six points during her 23 minutes on the courts.

Ty Battle and Chantel Charles led the bench mob with 10 points apiece. Charles supplemented her points production with three rebounds and one assist. Battle honoured her efficient 71% shooting with nine rebounds, just missing out on a double-double, to go with five rebounds and two assists. 

Forward Shequila Joseph also missed out on a double-double posting eight points, ten rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Skipper Shanice Beckford-Norton contributed six points to the Lions’ efforts, just missing out on becoming the ‘London Lions All-Time Scoring Leader’ by four points. 

Birthday girl Paige Robinson returned from injury to grab two rebounds and dish out one assist during her heavily minutes restricted time on the hardcourt.
