London Lions Cruise to 89-68 Victory of the Eagles.

Player of the Game, Aaron Best Knocks Down Six Triples to Help Clip Newcastle’s Wings En Route to a 20-Point and 7-Rebound Performance

Lion-hearted skipper Aaron Best picked up the Player of the Game award due to his stellar 20-point, 7-rebound, 4-assist and 1-steal boxscore. The Canadian national player lit up the Copper Box arena knocking down six triples en route to his team-leading points total.

Vojtech Hruban pocketed eleven points, four assists, one steal and one block in his return to the starting lineup. Point guard Jordan Taylor led the team with eight assists, which he complimented with three rebounds, one steal and four points.

Miye Oni and Tomislav “Zuba” Zubčić finished the game with nine points but slightly different individual boxscores. Oni grabbed three boards and dished out four assists. Zuba recorded the second-highest rebounds total of the day for the Lions whilst collecting one steal, blocking one shot, and handing out two assists.

Human alley-oop highlight-reel Josh Sharma led the bench mob with 16 points shooing a highly efficient 70% clip from the floor. The big man terrorised the Eagles' offence, knocking them off their perch with five blocks and two steals during his 28 minutes on the hardwood.

Morayo Soluade supported the shortened rotation with 12 massive points off the bench. The 2-way specialist achieved his points total shooting nothing but threes all afternoon, sinking four of his six attempts to go with two rebounds, two assists and one steal.

GB star Luke Nelson supported his comrades with eight points, three rebounds, four assists and one steal.
