The London Lions put their last-minuteheroics behind them to take control against a middle of the pack SheffieldSharks. An exuberant performance from Conor Morgan exemplified the Lions newenergy from their summer signings, who combined in an excellent teamperformance.

The first quarter saw a fast start from thehosts who scored on their first three attempts of the game - including a triplefrom Jordan Taylor.

Once the Lions took the lead, they lookeddetermined to keep it and were decisive when on the front foot. With their leadstretching to 15-points mid-way through the game, they looked to have too muchfor a Sheffield side who have been blowing hot and cold all season.

Coach Božić rotated consistently to keepthe team fresh, which looked to be crucial given the importance of their BoxingDay European clash in Paris.

The second half started with a quick-fireburst from Sheffield, who came out the blocks fast and put the Lions on theback foot.

The home side went on to regain control ofthe tie with a strong defensive display, which seemed to perfectly complementtheir offensive antics from the first half.

Despite the fact they lost the game by amargin close to 20-points, there was plenty of positives for Sheffield to take fromthe match given they made London look vulnerable at times.

With Conor Morgan taking the game by thescruff of the neck, the Commonwealth Games silver medallist proved to be too hotfor the Sharks to handle. Consequently, the Lions move to 20-3 in the British BasketballLeague Championship and sit eight wins ahead of the second placed Gladiators beforeChristmas.
