LIONS APPOINT NEW ARENA FEASIBILITY PARTNERS

We’re proud to share a major milestone in our journey: Trivandi and The Sports Consultancy Group have been appointed as lead advisors for the first phase of our arena feasibility study.

This marks a key step in our long-term vision to create a purpose-built, 10,000+ seat indoor arena, a permanent home for professional basketball in the capital, and a space where the sport can grow at every level.

Backed by the Mayor of London’s Office, London & Partners, and Opportunity London, the study will explore potential locations, delivery models, and investment options, alongside a full social and economic impact review to ensure the project brings lasting value to Londoners.

“This is about more than just basketball, it’s about building a venue that reflects London’s ambition and diversity, while giving back to the communities that shape it,” said Lenz C. Balan, the President & CEO of the London Lions.

Peter Griffin, Executive Director at Trivandi, added: “This project is a chance to create a lasting legacy in the city where Trivandi was founded - delivering not just a world-class home for basketball and majorevents, but a catalyst for economic growth and community opportunity. We’re bringing the best of our global experience in venue development and operations to help shape a destination that drives investment, inspires future generations, and opens up access to sport and entertainment for all.”
Tom Pinnington, Director at The Sports Consultancy, said: “The Sports Consultancy is delighted to be working with Trivandi and London Lions on this important initial feasibility study. Our work will refine the vision for a new multi-purpose arena, testing key elements of the schemeto identify the most viable and deliverable option. The output from our work will be a clear project brief, underpinned by a robust outline business case, to carry forward to the next stages of development.”

The proposed arena will feature elite game-day and training facilities for our men’s and women’s teams, while also anchoring a broader commitment to grassroots basketball, youth development, and community access across the city.

We’re also exploring the creation of dedicated basketball centres that support coaching, academy training, and provide young Londoners with a place to play—and dream big.

This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to bring you along for the journey.

Thank you for being part of the pride. The future of basketball in London is only getting brighter.
