London, Sunday 1 March: The London Lions can confirm that our U18 team and staff are currently in Abu Dhabi following the cancellation of the adidas NextGen EuroLeague qualifying tournament by Euroleague Basketball.
All players and staff are safe and accounted for, and are together at their hotel under the supervision of our coaching and support staff.
We are in ongoing communication with tournament organisers, local authorities and relevant travel partners to coordinate arrangements for their return to the UK as soon as possible.
The welfare and safety of our young athletes and staff remains our absolute priority, and we will provide further updates when appropriate.
