London, 5 June 2026 - London Lions are pleased to confirm that British forward Deane Williams has re-signed with the club for the 2026-27 season, returning after a debut campaign in which he helped lead the team to a clean sweep.
Williams was a key part of the side that swept all four domestic competitions in 2025-26, ending the season as SLB Champion, SLB Playoff Champion, and SLB Cup and Trophy winner.
The quadruple capped a productive first year in the capital for the versatile forward.A starter throughout the campaign, Williams featured in 36 league games, averaging 8.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists while bringing the kind of positional flexibility that allowed Lions to be the best defensive team in the league.
He was equally reliable on the European stage, starting 18 EuroCup games and posting 8.4 points and 4.2 rebounds a night as the Lions tested themselves against some of the continent’s strongest sides.
The 6'9" forward also earned international recognition during the season, representing Great Britain to get his first Senior cap.
A product of the Bristol Flyers programme, Williams arrived in London as one of the most well-travelled players in the squad, with a career taking in spells across Iceland, France, Germany, Italy and Poland, and a Basketball Champions League title to his name from his time with Telekom Baskets Bonn.

Williams becomes the second confirmed returnee for the 2026-27 campaign, joining Joel Scott in committing his future to the club as London look to defend their full set of domestic crowns.
