London, Tuesday 2 June 2026 - London Lions are delighted to confirm that forward Joel Scott has re-signed with the club for the 2026-27 season, following a debut campaign in which he was part of the side that completed the SLB quadruple.
Scott arrived in the capital last summer and made an immediate impact, exploding out of the gate as one of the most productive forwards in the league and establishing himself as an early-season contender for the MVP award.
He poured in 25 points on opening night against Leicester Riders and followed up with 21, 19 and 18 in his next three outings, setting the tone for a Lions team that would go on to sweep the silverware. His campaign was derailed by injury that cost him three months of action, but he returned to play his part as the club closed out a clean sweep of domestic honours.
Across 29 league games Scott averaged 12.9 points and 5.7 rebounds while shooting 57.9 per cent from the floor and a sharp 38.6 per cent from three.
His influence extended to the continental stage, where he averaged 12.5 points and 5.4 rebounds across eight EuroCup games as the Lions tested themselves against Europe's best.
The 6'7" American joined London after a productive season in Germany with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg and arrived in the UK off the back of a prolific college career in the United States.
General Manager Martynas Purlys said: "We are delighted to extend our partnership with Joel Scott. His professionalism, dedication to the team and contribution to the growth of our organisation has been extremely valuable. We believe that together we will continue striving for the highest goals and building a successful future for the London Lions."
With one of last season's standout performers committed for another year, London continue to build their roster for next season with further signings to be announce in due course.
