London, Wednesday 26 August – The London Lions Women have added 5’11” forward Chloe Wilson to their roster ahead of the 2026-27 Super League Basketball Women (SLBW) season, following a standout campaign in Iceland.
Wilson spent the 2025-26 season with Thór AK Akureyri, establishing herself as one of the league’s most dominant all-around players. She averaged an impressive 26.3 points and 14.7 rebounds per game, leading the league with her consistent production on both ends of the floor.
Her performances earned Wilson All-Icelandic Division First Team honours, Forward of the Year, and Icelandic League Player of the Week honours six times throughout the campaign.
A consistent scorer and dominant presence on the glass, Wilson’s ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor made her one of the league’s most difficult matchups. Her combination of size, athleticism and versatility will add another powerful presence to the Lions’ frontcourt.
London Lions General Manager Ruchae Walton said:
“Chloe is someone I’m really excited about joining us. She has the ability to score the ball consistently and in volume, which I think the fans will really enjoy watching. I think she’ll fit into the SLB really well, add greater depth to our roster and give us another player who can make an impact at both ends of the floor. We’re really looking forward to having her with us and seeing what she can bring to the team.”
Wilson now heads to London for the next chapter of her career, bringing her scoring ability, rebounding strength and two-way impact to the Lions as they prepare for the 2026-27 season.
