London, Thursday 30 July 2026 – The London Lions are delighted to announce the return of Sara Ahmadpour for the 2026-27 SLBW season.
After making steady progress throughout the 2025-26 campaign, Ahmadpour returns to the Lions having appeared in every game last season. The versatile wing averaged 4.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, consistently providing energy, effort, and versatility on both ends of the floor.
Known for her willingness to do the little things for the team, Ahmadpour's development throughout the season saw her grow into an increasingly valuable contributor within the Lions' rotation.
London Lions General Manager Ruchae Walton is looking forward to seeing Ahmadpour continue that progression.
"Sara made great strides as last season progressed. She's someone who works incredibly hard for her teammates and fits perfectly into the way we play here at the Lions. I'm excited to see her continue to develop and make another strong contribution in the SLBW."
Alongside her commitment to the London Lions, Ahmadpour will continue her studies while representing the University of East London, balancing her academic pursuits with competing at the highest level of domestic basketball. Returning for another season, she adds continuity, versatility, and a strong work ethic to the Lions' roster as the club prepares for the 2026-27 campaign.
