London, Tuesday 7 July - London Lions have added serious firepower to their backcourt for the 2026-27 season, signing American guard Landrius Horton following a standout campaign in Poland.

Horton, 27, arrives in the capital as one of the most productive scoring guards in European basketball. In the Polish top flight last season he averaged 18.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists across 38 games, finishing as the league’s second-highest scorer while shooting 51.5 per cent from two, an excellent 37.7 per cent from three and better than 76 per cent from the free-throw line. He also ranked among the league’s top players for steals, underlining the two-way threat he brings.

The 6'4" guard saved some of his best basketball for the European North Basketball League, where he was named Finals MVP as he drove his side to the title. He posted 16.5 points a night across 13 games in the competition, capping a season that also saw him named to the league’s First Team.

Horton comes to London with a well-travelled and successful European résumé. Before his move to Poland he starred in Cyprus, North Macedonia and Sweden, picking up a domestic cup winner’s medal and multiple individual honours along the way, and has consistently proven himself a go-to scorer wherever he has played. His arrival gives the Lions a dynamic, experienced guard capable of putting up points in a hurry on both the domestic and European stage.

General Manager Martynas Purlys said: "Landrius joins our team with valuable experience gained across several European leagues. He will bring athleticism, energy and versatility to our roster and we believe his skill set will complement our group well. We expect Landrius to play an important role in helping us achieve our goals this season and we're excited to welcome him to the London Lions.”

Horton’s signing is the latest piece of London’s squad building ahead of the 2026-27 season.
