Savannah Wilkinson becomes the latest signing for the London Lions women's team, ahead of their 2023/24 campaign.

London-born Wilkinson, a former Molten WBBL young player of the year (2015); joins the Lions after two seasons at Southern Methodist University (SMU). Wilkinson was named to the All-AAC Second Team for two consecutive seasons and brings NCAA experience to the team, after 4 years with Florida State University.

Vanja Cernivec, London Lions General Manager said "Savannah is an incredibly smart and versatile player; not to mention being a great personality to have on the team. She’s had a great college career and we’re excited to have her return home for her rookie season."

Wilkinson's roots are close to home, with experience playing at Barking Abbey Basketball Academy and representing the National team in every junior age group.

This week, Savannah will suit up for Great Britain in Eurobasket alongside Holly Winterburn and new signing Temi Fagbenle. Group stages begin on Friday as GB take on Slovenia, where Lions Head Coach Stella Kaltsidou sits as assistant coach.
