18-year-old Croatian forward Dorja Žaja will join the Lions on a long-term contract, having spent the earlier part of the season with ZKK Tresnjevka.
Having already turned heads at the 2021 FIBA U18 FIBA European Women's Challenger tournament, Dorja continued her rich vein of form, leading the Croatia U18 women’s team to a 5th-place finish at the 2022 FIBA U18 Women's Division B European Championships.
Žaja averaged 14.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game during the tournament and was subsequently named to the All-Star Five.
